I have given myself a gift of a new name: Alana Blusol
Why? To put it simply – I want to know myself, to be aligned with the Source of all that is, and to live in peace.
Have you ever felt like there are two (or more) people inside your head, at war with each other? Has doubt and uncertainty plagued your mind for years? And although there may be many reasons for this, one of the simple reasons could be that your first name is not balanced with your Soul Path.
WHAT?!
I never felt comfortable with my given name. Those who know me from Virginia remember how much I have played with different names – and yet nothing felt comfortable. I have got so many compliments about my given name Oksana – how unique it was, how gorgeous it was, etc., etc., etc. And my unique name had felt to me like a gorgeous dress that is tight, suffocating, and uncomfortable.
Have you seen Pirates of the Caribbean? Remember when Elizabeth Swan was dressed in a gorgeous, unique dress of the latest fashion? And she couldn’t breathe? I think you’re getting the picture.
Sometimes I felt like a part of me was fighting against me. There was no peace in those moments and a lot of mental conflicts. As a shamanic healer, I know that sometimes, of course, the conflict can be created by traumatic experienced, intrusive entities, and environmental imbalance.
However, I have been working on clearing and healing myself energetically for a very long time, and yet I was still amazed at how much mental discord and confusion I was experiencing. Intuitively I felt that my name had to do something with it and I wanted to change it early on. My first attempt was in elementary school when I asked my friends to call me Kisa (meaning a young female cat), which made my mother furious! She was a purist and wouldn’t even allow nicknames, let alone a pet name! Just the memory of the indignant impression on my mom’s face makes me laugh!
Then, at the age of 19, raised as an atheist. In search of answers to life’s questions, I got baptized in a Russian Orthodox chapel in St.Petersburg and took the name Xenia, which I tried to wear in many different forms – Ksenia, Xenia, Xenya. The last spelling had felt the best of them all, but it was still not it.
I even ordered a balanced name reading from the society of Kabalarians in Canada. I tried their suggested names. Still, it didn’t feel right.
Recently, my research led me to the science of Yantra Yoga – a science that puts numerical values on the letters to align the inner and outer nature of the individual with their SOUL purpose. Numbers always made sense to me, and when I calculated my proper birth paths for this lifetime I was able to come up with a long list of names that fit my current birth path. I connected to my Higher Self and requested a name from that list that we “both” would like. My request had been granted the very next day!
I’m serious, I looked at the same list the next morning and the name Alana jumped at me in neon letters. In this case, it was a lightning bolt kind of experience. Love at first sight!
I researched the meaning of the name Alana and was delightfully surprised by all the little winks from my Higher Self. The name Alana comes from the ancient land of Aire, numerologically reduces to the number 11, has an Elemental energy of Fire, and is associated with the Lord Surya – the Sun. All of these things have deep, intimate meanings to me.
And, to put the cherry on the icing, these are the vibrational qualities of the name Alana:
- Cooperative
- Considerate
- Compassionate
- Nurturing
- Sensitive
- Patient
- Loving
- Kind
- Gracious
- Balanced

WHAT IS A BALANCED NAME
It’s a name in complete harmony with your birth date and thus channels you naturally toward your true purpose in life.
When you choose a new balanced name, the effects can be immediate and dramatic. The way you look at yourself, the way others perceive and treat you, your level of confidence, your energy, creativity, and self-esteem, can all improve significantly.
For many, changing their name to a balanced one is an extraordinarily uplifting experience, having a far greater impact on their lives than they imagined.
A balanced name has more than just aesthetic and linguistic appeal. It is intrinsically tied to your birth path, the original calling you were meant to pursue. They are fully in sync with the cycles and phases of your life, measured from the day you were born, so the path to realizing your full potential becomes clear and attainable.
WHY YOUR FIRST NAME IS SO IMPORTANT
When a baby is born, it has no individual identity yet. That only happens when it receives a NAME. Once a baby received a NAME, then that NAME BECOMES IDENTITY.
That is why your first name is so important, you literally become your name and the name becomes your identity. The MIND is developing based on the qualities inherent in the mathematical vibration of the name. Your first name is WHO YOU ARE while your BIRTH PATH is who you SHOULD BE.
WHAT IS YANTRA YOGA
Yantra yoga is a simple method to align the inner and outer nature of the individual with their SOUL purpose. By doing this one simple act, the person gets onto a spiritual path and starts his evolution to higher states of consciousness most rapidly.
One’s new name acts like a 24/7 mantra that is continually working to align the person with their highest purpose. As soon as a person has become IDENTIFIED with his new name, it starts to take effect. As soon as that person responds to his new name, it begins to work.
The new name then works continually to keep the person’s inner and outer nature aligned with his highest SELF/SOUL purpose, and by doing this, the person starts to feel at PEACE.
Your brain starts to work better because communication is so clear from the brain’s consciousness that one improves mentally and physically.
Because one’s mind is now clear and operating in an optimum way, one’s concentration and memory are strengthened.
Because there is hardly any conflict in the mind, one is more relaxed and does not suffer from stress-related physical ailments. This is significant as it is estimated that at least 75% of most physical discomforts are of psychosomatic origin.
You start to become healthier and whole.
You will feel balanced and therefore make much better decisions, which will lead to greater fulfillment rather than being pulled this way and that way by tendencies, which are not aligned with your TRUE nature.
Yantra yoga is a YOGA that’s the main goal is SELF-REALIZATION. We are shooting for that highest goal, and everything else will also be given to us along the way. People want success and so forth, but don’t be shortsighted, get Self-Realization, and then success will come naturally.
